Bluntfield (Bluntfield)
We had a chance to speak the one and only Bluntfield hailing from Perth, HIs quick spitting and never compromising his message and ideals makes him a true Underground Hero.
With lyrics that are full of the day to day Social issues, He harnesses the true spirit of Freedom in Hip Hop.
His New Track Idiocracy is a banger and I love the Anti Establishment and Throwback to the Them Movie themed Video Clip.
The EP/Album The Meat Clown is a Solid favourite of mine with Features from Mr Ruckman and Fresh Violet. As well as his track The Dark Crystal which is such a Song.
Supporting the likes of Chris Webby, Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, Seth Sentry, The Four Owls, Merkules, Spit Syndicate, Swollen Members and Drapht on their own respective tours.
His Socials are below and make sure we support and show local Oz Artists some love.

Enough from me here is the Interview.
Where did the name Bluntfield come from?
Bluntfield’s a spin on my surname with a double meaning of being honest/blunt in the field/genre with a Lil nod to 420.
Where did you grow up?
Born and raised in Perth Western Australia!
What Inspired your Music?
The driving force would be it’s my main outlet to express the creative side which I think a lot of people neglect and let fade away once they transition to the rat race.
As far as influences go they range from comedians like Bill Hicks, Bill Burr, George Carlin and Joe Rogan, music like Atmosphere, Cypress Hill, Drapht, Seth Sentry and Tech N9ne and writers like Kevin Smith, Mike Judge, Paul Heyman and Trey Parker.
How Long have you been Rapping/Producing/Making Beats
I’d been messing around with raps and self-produced some turds on Fruity Loops fresh out of high school but it wasn’t til a freestyle at a Hopsin gig in 2012 that I got up on stage for the first time, didn’t do a set or release a song publically til 2014. I leave the beat-making freshness to Loftee, Rob Shaker and Uncool Sam!
What are some current projects your working on?
‘Idiocracy’ is the first single off The Red Kelly EP which is slated for release in January, with a few more singles to drop before. I’ve got an all cannabis-themed album set for 04.20.20 and then the next full-length album ‘The Break Out’ which is scheduled for Spring 2020.
Advice for the Upcoming Artist?
Treat it like a sport and invest time in the fundamentals. Pay dues, network your ass off, plan in advance and be patient with releases. Once it’s out there, it’s out!
Who is your top 5?
Shit, that’s a hard list to make. Emcees? In no particular order – Redman – Tech N9ne – Sage Francis – KRS-One – Eminem
Who would be your Ultimate Feature/Colab?
If I got to collab with Cypress Hill or Tech N9ne the inner fan-boy would be spun the fuck out. Stylistically Seth Sentry would be a mad one too!
Message to the Youth?
Nothing too wild – Eat healthy food and exercise, my diet was shit as a teen and don’t expect it’s different with energy drinks, faps n Maccas runs etc but there’s a pretty big link between mental health and gut-health, eat well and you’ll feel better/have more energy.
We’re in the digital age where you can educate yourself and pursue almost any passion you want from the comfort of your bedroom. Chase that shit! There’s a reason the old ass creepy sociopaths are constantly after that fountain of youth – now’s the time to create memories and raise hell and Have fun!
