This is one of the Biggest interviews we have done!!!

One of my Favourite Artists, I was glad we could do this one!!

This weeks Interview was with The GodFather of Aussie Grime Fraksha, Legends like this are the reason I started this as he is one of the true icons of the Scene!!

Fraksha with his hard-hitting heavy vocals and rapid-fire wordplay swarms the beat in such a way only a seasoned Mc could.

He has paved the way for Australian Grime and laid the groundwork for Artists such as Alex Jones, Mitchos Menace, The Wombat and Chillinit420 , and the list goes on, A true Pioneer of Aussie Grime.

Fraksha is also 1/4 of the legendary Smash Brothers, Comprised of Fraksha, Scotty Hinds, Murky and DIEM who are Legends on the scene in their own right. They are truly giants in the Grime scene. Murky regrettably, has passed but he will always be remembered for his contribution to the scene.

He is well known and versatile in such ways he has performed at many cross-genre events and has time and time again shown he will not be put in the one box and has so much to offer.

Among all his Albums my favorite would have to be “My Way” as it showcases the many ways he can sub-genre and rapidly spit and flow with any beat Its truly Impressive, Even winning ‘Hip-Hop Album of the Year and The Age – Music Victoria Awards 2013.

Next up would have to be “Still out here” released in 2018 but is an Instant Classic, Full of certifiable hits and banging beats that really show out his ability to completely turn any beat he uses into a masterpiece.

Many Stages have been blessed with his presence and he has supported the likes of Skinnyman, Klashnekoff, Blak Twang, KANO, Skepta, Raekwon, Foreign Beggars, Wiley, Dizzee Rascal!, and dead prez.

Why the name Fraksha?

No idea, to be honest, sounded cool as a teenager, pretty shit name to be honest

Where did you grow up?

Born in a place called Langley, grew up around Slough, Maidenhead, and Reading

What Inspired your Music?

Hearing a Disorder mix tape many years ago that had Skinnyman and Supa T freestyles, made me realize you didn’t have to be American to rap and be credible

How Long have you been Rapping?

Around 20 years I guess

What are some current projects your working on?

Got an upcoming single other than that nothing for public knowledge at this stage

Advice for the Upcoming Artist?

Don’t be in a rush to release music, practice and put in that work. You are not entitled to anything, don’t forget that!

Who is your top 5 Artists Or producers?

As I get older I don’t like top lists, music is subjective. I don’t really have a list of them, to be honest sorry!

Who would be your Ultimate Feature/Colab?

I’m hoping it will happen this year so I’m keeping schtum!

Vybz Kartel would be one the ultimate but he’s locked for the next couple decades so not a chance that would ever happen!

Message to the Youth?

Be good to each other, travel and experience as much as you can! Don’t let blinkered by a local mentality!
